Manchester-based sportswear brand Castore plans to accelerate growth in Europe driven by new teams, sports partnerships and retail stores.
The brand has struck kit deals with new teams across the EU including Feyenoord Rotterdam, Athletic Club Bilbao, Football Association of Ireland, FC Utrecht and FC Twente as it solidifies expansion plans in the continent.
Castore said its partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing has been “integral in solidifying the European presence, specifically in the Netherlands”. The sportswear retailer became a team partner of the F1 racing team for the 2023 season as a part of a long-term partnership.
The retailer has also increased its physical retail portfolio across Europe with new mainline stores in cities across the Netherlands, Spain and Ireland along with trading under wholesalers including Zalando, Intersport, Sprinter, Voetbalshop, VoetbalDirect and 11Teamsports.
Castore co-founder Tom Beahon said: “We’ve put considerable effort into our European expansion, which aligns with our mighty ambitions for Castore to be the world’s number one premium sports brand.
“Right now, we’re incredibly proud of our efforts to secure numerous EU kit deals, as well as our ongoing partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing and our newly opened Rotterdam distribution centre.
“It’s an exciting time for Castore, as we’re determined to continue this expansion and position the brand as a key player in the European market.”
