Frasers Group Asia has announced a new joint venture agreement with PT Map Active Indonesia to launch Sports Direct in the country.
The retail group said the agreement is “the first step in a region-wide expansion” between the two and will see the introduction of Sports Direct’s stores across Indonesia including both the wholesale and retail components.
Frasers Group Asia owns 35 stores across Malaysia with its headquarters in Sunway City, Kuala Lumpur.
The newest joint venture with retail conglomerate PT Map Active will help launch global brands owned by Frasers Group to Indonesian consumers, including Karrimor, Everlast, Lonsdale, Slazenger, USA Pro, Firetrap, Soul Cal and Jack Wills among others.
