Gymshark has announced a day off work for its UK employees as England heads into the Euro 2024 final after beating the Netherlands last night.

Gymshark employees in the UK will get Monday, July 15, off as England gears up for the final on Sunday after beating the Netherlands in the semifinals.

England will face Spain in the final, competing to become the country’s first men’s team to win a major tournament since the World Cup in 1966.

The retailer made the announcement on its LinkedIn page in a first for any retailer.

This comes after Tesco announced it would be closing its Express stores at 7.30pm instead of the usual 10pm or 11pm on the day of the final to allow its staff time to get home ahead of kickoff at 8pm.

The UK’s biggest supermarket chain said employees who do not want to watch the match will be paid as normal and stores will remain open as usual the next day.
