SportsShoes.com’s new mobile app will enhance customers’ retail experience with personalised product suggestions

The Bradford, West Yorkshire-based sports retailer said the launch is part of its strategic expansion plan into the running shoes, clothing and outdoor gear categories.

The app, developed by specialist sports retailer solution provider One Iota, gives customers access to personalised product and content suggestions that are unique to them, based on their previous activity and preferences, with a standard shopping feed as a secondary option.

In the last three years the retailer has invested £4.6m in “technologies, people, processes and facilities.”

Alongside the app launch, SportsShoes.com has also replatformed its UK and international websites to offer an improved online purchasing experience and increased personalisation.

SportsShoes.com managing director Brett Bannister said: “Launching our app marks a major milestone in our mission to help customers lead healthier, happier lives through their fitness and sports journeys.

“Having established a market-leading online brand, our new app is a digital reincarnation for us and a key tool for our UK and European growth plans.

“To celebrate the launch with our customers and the wider athlete community, we wanted to give them a chance at winning some amazing prizes, including expert coaching sessions and kit from high-quality brands.

“We’re very grateful to our brand partners for supporting this launch competition and we look forward to announcing the winners as we mark this new chapter in SportsShoes.com’s growth journey.”
