Premium denim brand 7 For All Mankind is gearing up for UK expansion with the launch of a transactional website and plans for seven further stores.
7 For All Mankind will launch a transactional site in January and wants a further seven shops in the next five years, predominantly in London.
The brand made its UK retail debut with a standalone shop in London’s Notting Hill in September, and last month opened a second store on Regent Street, in the unit previously occupied by George Davies’ GIVe brand. It was previously just a wholesale brand in the UK since 2000.
Property agency CB Richard Ellis acted for 7 For All Mankind on the Regent Street store.
7 For All Mankind general manager Massimo Ferrucci said: “We decided to move into retail as it is important consumers can see the image of the company and the full collection all in one place. The opening of the stores is part of a roll-out in the EMEA.”
He said both the Regent Street and Notting Hill stores were performing “very well”.
Ferrucci said he was eyeing Covent Garden for the next opening, hopefully by the end of next year, and would also consider further openings in other major UK cities including Leeds and Manchester.
The transactional site will offer the whole collection, including jeans, cargo pants and chinos, and will be marketed using social media sites such as Facebook.
Ferrucci said: “Ecommerce, like wholesale, will be a major part of the business.”
7 for All Mankind was the original Los Angeles premium denim brand. It is owned by Italian brand house VF Corporation.
