A total of 14 retailers have posted record-breaking Boxing Day sales at London Designer Outlet (LDO) at Wembley Park in the outlet’s “best trading day ever” as full-year sales also hit an unprecedented £99m, Retail Week can reveal.
The fashion and lifestyle outlet posted total sales of £11.2m for the month of December, while total annual sales for 2023 reached an unprecedented £99m, boosted by its “best Christmas week since its opening in 2013.”
During the month of December, footfall at the designer outlet was also up 11% year-on-year which LDO credited to the demand for the new retailers that have opened their doors at the destination, including the likes of Boss and Timberland.
Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Moss, The North Face and Tommy Hilfiger were among the brands posting record-breaking Boxing Day sales, with The North Face and Tommy Hilfiger sales up 34% and 30%, respectively, year-on-year.
Quintain LDO retail director Matt Slade said: “The success of a record-breaking December, including a best ever day sales performance on Boxing Day, brought to a conclusion what was an incredible year for London Designer Outlet.
“Our offering of premium brands at accessible prices has allowed us to successfully continue to meet shifting consumer priorities towards premium shopping experiences at discounted price points.
