Morrisons has opened its first travel store, in Nottingham railway station, as it aims to attract busy commuters.
Morrisons said the M Local c-store underlines its commitment to open “convenience shops with a larger range of fresh food and everything needed for busy commuters to cook a meal from scratch”.
The shop offers a ‘Fresh to Go’ section, including coffee, bacon sandwiches and pastries, “meaning commuters can easily pick up food on the move”, said Morrisons managing director of convenience Gordon Mowat.
It will be open from 6am to 11pm every day.
