Retail CEOs write to chancellor calling on her to ‘level the playing field’ on business rates
Over 70 retail CEOs have written to the chancellor Rachel Reeves ahead of the budget later in the month, saying “now is the time to level the playing field between industries”.
In an open letter coordinated by the British Retail Consortium, retail CEOs called on the government to introduce a retail rates corrector “as part of their commitment to reforming the business rates system”.
