Stationery retailer Ryman is launching a new Ryman Design store to open in Scotland for the first time.

The new store will open on Friday May 24 in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter, following the first ever Ryman Design opening in Bishopgate, London in June 2023.

Ryman Design stores first launched last year offering trend-led stationery, gifts and cards

Two other stores opened later last year at London’s Marble Arch and Birmingham’s Grand Central.

Ryman Design stores are described as a “design specialist offshoot of Ryman”, to provide customers with a one-stop shop for trend-led stationery, gifts and cards.

Products from a variety of brands feature in the stores, including Ban.do, Kate Spade, POSCA, Legami, Violet Studios / Crafters Companion and Midori.

Following the successful launches of the first three Ryman Design stores and the new opening in Edinburgh this week, the retailer is looking ahead to expanding this concept to more areas in the near future.

Ryman owner and chairman Theo Paphitis said: “I’m delighted to be opening our first-ever Scottish Ryman Design store in Edinburgh and building on the brand’s presence in key locations around the UK.

”Creativity runs through Edinburgh’s veins, which is why opening our new design-led store, full of unique, design-led stationery, gifts, and cards was a no-brainer for me. This will be our fourth Ryman Design store, and because of the fantastic response they’ve had from our customers, there are more in the pipeline.”
