The return to a seasonal bias in store refits, with activity taking place between July and November, has been highlighted by Michael Kennedy, chairman of shopfitter Havelock.
The company has performed ahead of budget, with its educational furniture and PoS display divisions providing good returns.
Speaking at the company's AGM, Kennedy said: 'Within the retail interiors division, all of this year's profit will be earned in the second half.' The pattern is broadly in line with the experience of other shopfitters (Retail Week, July 2).
Havelock's clients include House of Fraser, HBoS and Boots. The shopfitter continues a Middle-Eastern joint venture, although this has been reduced to a 17 per cent stake from 50 per cent last year.
