Superdrug is to launch a £5m Sale on Boxing Day, cutting the prices across its stores by up to 80%.
The health and beauty retailer is to run the Sale at all its 908 stores, but 300 of those will be designated Sale ‘hot spots’, with the largest selection of discounted products.
The move follows last year’s Sale, which Superdrug said was its biggest ever, offering price cuts of up to 90% on about £40m of stock. Jeremy Seigal, chief executive of the UK health and beauty division of Superdrug parent AS Watson, said previously the Sale was needed to clear out old stock that he inherited when he took over the role.
The Sale will include more than 1 million products across designer skincare, cosmetics and healthcare. Prices will start from 10p.
