John Lewis has launched Collect+ to allow customers to pick up online orders from local convenience stores and petrol stations.
Initially, the service will launch in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the south west of England across 1,500 locations at a cost of £3 to the customer. Shoppers can also collect online orders in John Lewis stores and sister grocer Waitrose’s shops.
It follows the launch of a free national returns offer in February, which gives John Lewis customers the option to return online purchases to their local Collect+ location.
John Lewis business development manager Sarah Ince said: “Click-and-collect services remain an area of huge growth for John Lewis.
“The Collect+ network provides us with a truly national reach and means that customers who may not necessarily live close to one of our shops can still collect their online order at their convenience.”
Collect+ chief executive Neil Ashworth added: “The partnership with John Lewis so far has proven to be a great success and we’re very excited to be working with them to help to successfully deliver to more online shoppers around the UK.”
John Lewis joins Shop Direct, Wiggle, Asda, Asos and House of Fraser in offering the delivery option.
