Swarovski is to continue its expansion after reporting like-for-likes up 9% for the 2009 calendar year.
The crystal and jewellery retailer opened 15 UK stores last year and said it was already negotiating on five sites for the start of this year. It has 54 outlets, including 31 concessions.
Swarovski general manager for consumer goods business in the UK Hayley Quinn claimed the retailer was performing ahead of expectations. She added: “The shopper has become more price aware, but they still want luxury.”
This year the retailer will begin transforming its portfolio to its global “white” store concept premiered at its Regent Street shop.
