Search giant Google is thought to be close to opening its first retail store in New York.
The search giant is reported to be in talks regarding a lease on a property on Greene St in SoHo, according to New York business magazine Crain’s.
The street is known for attracting big names such as jewellery chain Tiffany and an Apple store is close by on Prince Street.
It follows reports in 2012 that Google was to open a store in Dublin, Ireland, although the technology company has not yet done so.
It is thought the New York store might be being lined up to showcase the Google Glass device, due to be released widely this year.
