Monsoon has chosen the same ecommerce platform that supports its site for its standalone Accessorize site.
Having successfully utilised a Venda SaaS ecommerce platform for the Monsoon site, the retailer selected the same type of platform for its Accessorize site.
As revealed by Retail Week last week, Monsoon Accessorize will step up its online operations with the launch of a standalone site for its accessories arm. This is following the appointment of former Fat Face director Kristine Kirby to the newly created role of ecommerce and multichannel marketing director.
The platform will allow Accessorise to create a site that includes social elements, navigation, flash and behavioural merchandising, where customer behaviour is used to drive relevant promotions.
Monsoon and Accessorize chief communications officer Steve Back said: “By creating an online experience similar to walking into an Accessorize store, the return on investment from the online opportunity is sizeable.”
As part of the expansion, the website will be available in five different languages across Europe, namely English, German, French and Danish.
