New Look is using an enterprise social network - called iLook - to support international expansion and communicate with its 27,000 employees and business partners worldwide.
The fashion retailer is using the Oracle Universal Content Management platform to provide the iLook workspace where international colleagues can communicate through blogs, wikis and forums. It has been developed initially in English, French and Flemish and will be extended to additional languages over time.
Employees will also receive other internal information like corporate news, company videos and a shared marketing resource through the network.
It also provides global franchise partners access to sales assets, local messaging, direct communication with the local stores and press campaigns and images. New Look has stores in 15 countries across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
New Look director of business change Adrian Thompson said: “iLook is supporting our goals for rapid international expansion and helping our group to work together in the best way possible.”
iLook received the International Solution Award at the BT Expedite Retail Week Technology Awards in June this year.
