Peacocks wants to expand on the communications system it uses to interact with stores, after extending its store systems support contract with Vista Retail Support.
The Retail Manager store communications system is delivered to stores via back-office PCs. In addition, Vista maintains 2,000 tills across Peacocks 500 sites.
Peacocks group IT director Brendan McKeown said that with only one PC per store, it is essential to have maximum uptime as the value retailer adds more functionality to the store communications system.
He added that Vista is assisting as Peacocks estate continues to expand: “As a business we have expansion plans over the next 18 months and our aim is to open a further 30 to 50 sites, and it’s good to know we already have supplier in place who can take care of our EPoS estate.”
