Ted Baker has appointed former banker Ron Stewart as an independent non-executive director.
Stewart was deputy managing director of corporate banking at Royal Bank of Scotland until his retirement in 2003.
Ted Baker said that Stewart will be appointed chairman of the audit committee after a handover period with Ted Baker’s chairman and present chairman of the audit committee Robert Breare.
Breare will continue as a member of the committee after the handover.
Stewart will also be appointed to Ted Baker’s nomination and remuneration committees.
Breare said: "We are delighted that Ron Stewart is joining the Ted Baker board. His experience will be invaluable and we look forward to his contribution."
