Ted Baker is set to open its first French store outside of Paris in the Les Terrasses du Port development in Marseille.
The 2,600 sq ft store is also Ted Baker’s first in a French shopping centre. It will carry the fashion retailer’s full range of womenswear, menswear and accessories.
The store will neighbour Michael Kors and Parisian fashion label Bérénice in the Hammerson-owned Les Terrasses du Port development, which will open in May 2014. Zara, H&M, Printemps and Levis have also signed up to the scheme, which is almost 90% let.
Hammerson leasing director for new business Sheila King said: “Ted Baker is one of the fastest growing lifestyle brands with strong fashion collections which are rightly growing in popularity with international consumers. This signing reinforces Les Terrasses du Port as a prime location for global retailers looking to expand their presence in the French market.”
Ted Baker finance director Lindsay Page said: “We are delighted to have secured a store at Les Terrasses du Port and look forward to its launch next year.”
