The UK's leading supermarket said the deal would allow it to convert freehold sites at several established locations to its Express convenience format.
Tesco opened its first Express store in 1994 and has 546 stores selling a range of up to 7,000 food, alcohol and household lines, trading from an average of 3,000 sq ft (280 sq m). The format represents 4.5 per cent of Tesco's total retail space in the UK.
The transaction will be subject to Office of Fair Trading clearance and is part of a series of Morrisons disposals, following its acquisition of Safeway.
