Upmarket clothing and homewares chain The White Company is mulling the roll-out of further shops for children’s brand Little White after strong Christmas sales.
Sales rose 10% in the nine weeks to December 26. For the year to March 28, EBITDA soared 31% to £7.9m, with sales up 15% to £80.2m.
Managing director Patricia Alford-Burnett said bedroom, home, gift and Little White performed particularly well over Christmas, while clothing drove sales in the 12-month period, particularly with Little White.
She said the 24-store retailer might open more stores under the Little White fascia. It has three at present. “We’d certainly consider it if the opportunity arises with the right size and locations,” she said.
