Three retailers have signed up for space at McArthurGlen’s Ashford Designer Outlet, which has had an increase in sales over the last four months.
Sailing and country sports clothing brand Musto, US footwear brand Skechers and women’s fashion label Phase Eight have all take stores in the outlet centre, in Kent.
The scheme has experienced a like-for-like sales growth over the last four months of 5.7 per cent compared with the same period last year.
McArthurGlen is expecting a further boost to sales at the scheme with the arrival of a high-speed rail service from London St Pancras to Ashford, which is opening this December.
The outlet centre sites adjacent to Ashford station.
Ashford Designer Outlet manager David Maddison said: “The new fast train link will not only make it easier for people to travel to Ashford from London, but it will also enable Ashford to grow as an important location in itself, whether for work or residence, given its greater proximity to London in terms of travelling time.”
