Fashion retailer and brand Tommy Hilfiger is to open its biggest UK store in November this year on London’s Brompton Road.
The 8,288 sq ft, two-floor shop at 63-65 Brompton Road will be Tommy Hilfiger’s third biggest in Europe and will be the first in this country to carry the retailer’s Tailored line.
It was described as a “flagship” which will “echo” the Tommy Hilfiger “anchor store” on Regent Street.
Tommy Hilfiger global chief executive Fred Gehring said: “The opening provides us with another fantastic opportunity to position the brand in an impressive retail environment.
London is one of the world’s leading citiesin retail and Brompton Road offers a unique blend of luxury and more accessible retail, making it the perfect location for our brand.
“Given the momentum of our business in the UK, this is a natural evolution to deliver on our strategy to have a flagship store in all of the capital cities of Europe.”
Founder Tommy Hilfiger said: “Since starting my brand in 1985, prep has been my main inspiration and, as the birthplace of preppy style, England is very close to my heart.
London, rich in culture, history and art, is the perfect location for us to anchor our largest UK flagship store.”
