Convenience retailer McColl’s has launched a loyalty scheme to boost sales and drive its understanding of shopping habits.
The retailer launched its Plus scheme today, which rewards customers who shop across McColl’s, Martins or RS McColl stores nationwide. Plus is a points based scheme that offers money off deals and gives shoppers access to “exclusive prizes and competitions”, both in store and online.
“The scheme is designed to help McColl’s increase sales in the growing UK convenience market and to enable the company to respond more intelligently to its customers’ shopping habits,” McColl’s said.
McColl’s floated in February and opened its 750th convenience store in June.
McColl’s chairman and chief executive James Lancaster said: “We have launched our Plus scheme as a way to say thank you to our loyal customers and reward them for choosing to shop with us. The card gives customers an array of fantastic savings, an opportunity to enter great competitions and to have access to special partner offers throughout the year.
“Plus is aimed at helping shoppers get even more value from McColl’s, reward them for their loyalty and help us understand our customers’ needs.”
