Pets At Home has promoted commercial director Pritchard to the newly created role of chief operating officer in the company’s retail arm.
Industry veteran Pritchard will be responsible for omnichannel, marketing, logistics and live pets. Former Morrisons executive Lisa Miao, who was recently appointed as trading director at Pets at Home, will report into Pritchard.
Ian Kellet, chief executive of the retail division, said: “The decision to create two divisions earlier in the year reflects the tremendous potential we have as a group for future growth in both retail and in services.
“Within the retail division I am delighted that we are able to use Peter’s vast retail experience to greater effect in this wider role, with Lisa taking responsibility for trading. ”
Pritchard joined Pets At Home in 2010 from value chain Wilkinsons, where he was trading director. He has also held roles at Asda, Iceland, Sainsbury’s and M&S.
