Topps Tiles expects to report adjusted pre-tax profit for the year to October 1 within analysts’ estimates with a consensus of £13.4m.

In its pre-close statement, Topps Tiles said UK sales for the period will be in the region of £175.7m. When restated on a same reporting week basis the total revenues will be approximately 1.7% below the prior year.

Like-for-likes are expected to show a decrease of 1.9%. In the previous year, like-for-likes were up 1.7%.

The retailer will end the year with 320 stores in the UK, having opened 15 during the period and closed or relocated seven during the same period.

Topps Tiles will report its full year results on November 29.
