Wakefield’s Trinity Walk shopping centre opened today, one of only three schemes slated to open this year.
The 500,000 sq ft centre is the only shopping development to open in the North this year.
Retailers will open their doors today, with 15 on site still fitting out. Most of the remaining sites are either under offer or in negotiations.
Tenants include Debenhams, Sainsbury’s, Next and H&M.
Area Property Partners, Sovereign Land and Shepherd Construction rescued the scheme out of administration in 2009 after the original developers went bust.
