US fashion retailer Urban Outfitters has signed for a new 14,500 sq ft store at the Victoria Centre in Nottingham.
The store, its first in the East Midlands, is due to open by Christmas.
Victoria Centre-owner Intu, formerly known as Capital Shopping Centres, is planning to invest £35m in the development.
Intu asset management director Martin Breeden said: “This deal is great for our shoppers and really enhances the young urban fashion mix within Nottingham.”
Urban Outfitters said: “We’ve been negotiating to open in Nottingham for some time and this prime position within the Victoria Centre is significant for us. Nottingham has a great catchment of over 1.4 million and we know there is a high level of demand for our products, so we hope to be trading very soon.”
Jones Lang La Salle and FHP acts on behalf of Intu-owned Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh in Nottingham.
