Young fashion chain USC is selling online to 10 European countries in a bid to tap into growing traffic from overseas.
It is the first time the retailer has opened up deliveries through its website from beyond the UK. Countries it will deliver to include France, Germany, Spain and Denmark.
The multi-brand chain, which in June posted pre-tax profits of £1.3m for the year to January 31, plans to roll out international delivery to further countries in the long term, as well as launch multi-lingual sites. USC has been using its website to trial new brands before introducing them in stores.
USC’s most recent accounts showed that the business had returned to profit after it was bought out of administration in December 2008 by its private equity owner, Sir Tom Hunter’s West Coast Capital.
The 38-store retailer has shops in locations including Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
