Poundland will showcase its new clothing, homewares and grocery ranges in its TV ad debut.
The discount retailer will air its new TV advert tomorrow (March 15) across the UK and Ireland to run until mid-April.
The ad will highlight the “value Poundland is now able to bring shoppers” as it has extended into new categories and revamped its stores under Project Evo.
Poundland has added chilled and frozen food to hundreds of its stores over the past few years, as well as overhauling its clothing, homewares and general merchandise offering.
These new and improved product categories, powered by parent company Pepco Group, are significant to Project Evo, which will see stores become “the best and most up-to-date Poundland or Dealz stores they can be”.
Transformations have already been completed at 24 stores, and another 11 locations are due to be completed in the next two weeks.
Refurbishments will conclude in New Malden, Dartford Priory, Droitwich and Irish Dealz stores in Gorey and Naas on March 16.
On March 23, store makeovers will be completed in Basingstoke, Hailsham, Exeter Exe Bridges and Cannock, as well as Dealz stores in Cork and Letterkenny. Around 50 stores will have received makeovers by April 6.
Poundland commercial director Tim Bettley said: “There’s been a transformation underway at Poundland for quite some time – in fact a Poundland or Dealz in 2024 is simply light years away from the kind of store customers would have experienced a decade ago.
“With our significant investment in ranges, stores and service, it’s now the right time to invite customers who haven’t seen what we now offer, to come and take a look for themselves at the changes we’ve made.”
