Wilko is expanding its omnichannel capability by launching a click-and-collect service for the first time across all of its UK stores.
The retailer is offering free collection on all orders and customers will be able to pick up items in store within three hours.
The service is part of Wilko’s aim to offer customers more convenient and flexible ways to shop its wide range of everyday essentials, while also extending its omnichannel offering.
Customers can visit Wilko.com to shop online and select the click-and-collect option to find a store near them. Once the order is placed, the chosen store will alert the customer as to when their purchase is ready to pick up in store.
Wilko will offer customers further options including choosing the day and time of delivery, using third-party parcel collection points at selected UK stores, reducing the price of home delivery and introducing Klarna as an online payment option.
Wilko digital director Ben Exall said: “Rolling out free same-day click and collect to all stores helps to ensure we’re providing hard-working families with a shopping experience that values their time and money.
“We’re delighted with the customer feedback following the improvements we’ve made in recent months; this is great recognition for Wilko team members and our partners, who are working tirelessly as we accelerate our omnichannel transformation.
“We continue to refine the Wilko shopping experience, with more customer improvements to launch in the coming months.”
