Walton to get makeover

Elmbridge Borough Council has given the go-ahead to O&H Properties'£100 million redevelopment of Walton-on-Thames town centre in Surrey. The mixed-use scheme will incorporate the redevelopment and reconfiguration of 153,420 sq ft (14,250 sq m) of retail space, plus the construction of 379 flats and a library and information centre. O&H property director Eli Shahmoon said: 'We are confident that this site will play a pivotal role in attracting further inward investment into the town, and are looking forward to opening the retail element by spring 2006.'
