Guildhall Shopping Centre adds bookseller to tenant mix
Bookseller Waterstone's has signed as anchor tenant for Tops Estates' Guildhall Shopping Centre at Stafford, taking a lease on a 4,000 sq ft (360 sq m) unit.

The prominent unit at the Earl Street entrance to the mall has been leased at an initial rent of£155,000 a year, with opening expected in November.

Other recent arrivals at the centre include JJB Sports, which has taken a 14,000 sq ft (1,300 sq m) first-floor store, and HMV, which has taken a 6,400 sq ft (595 sq m) unit on the ground floor. Meanwhile, Claire's Accessories and O2 have taken smaller units vacated by local traders.

Tops Estates managing director Adam Cohen said: 'Following our major transformation, there has been a substantial increase in footfall, which acknowledges the centre as the town's premier lifestyle and fashion location.'
