Connect3 will also provide professional services to configure the software and assist with integrating to WHSmith’s merchandising, pricing, EPoS and supply chain systems.
The system was chosen following what the retailer describes as a comprehensive request for proposal exercise. WHSmith head of development Simon Baker said: “Connect3 appeared to meet a very high percentage of our detailed requirements for both of our retail divisions – high street and travel.”
He added: “We then worked closely with them to verify they could provide a solution in our tight timelines without bespoke coding and also provide a platform which we can extend as our requirements expand.”
The system automates advertising production processes and is designed to compresses production cycle times, eliminate errors and reduce print costs.
Connect3’s US customers include Best Buy, The Home Depot and Giant Eagle.
