WHSmith has been cutting costs and successfully boosting profits, but it seems its carpet refresh fund has been badly hit.

The Twitter account @WHS_Carpet, which highlights the worst flooring across WHSmith stores, has won 2,375 followers. This picture shows the carpet in its Crawley store. Maybe it’s time WHSmith put a call in to Carpetright.
