Fashion chain Zara opened its biggest store last Friday, on London's Oxford Street. The retailer already has one store on the street, but the new three-storey shop, at 3,200 sq m, is more than twice the size of an average outlet and is Zara's largest worldwide. The menswear section measures 450 sq m and the shop marks the return to central London of Zara childrenswear.
To ease queues, there are more cash desks and fitting rooms. Separately, Zara's Inditex stablemate, Massimo Dutti, will open its first two UK stores, in Brent Cross and on Brompton Road, by December. Massimo Dutti is Inditex's second-biggest store group after Zara.
