Zara is to move into Scotland over the next 12 months with two stores.
The first shop, on Edinburgh's Princes Street in a former Marks & Spencer premises, will open by the end of this year once it is extended.
This will be followed in the early part of next year with a store in Glasgow.
The retailer will also open in Dublin, Birmingham and Croydon this year.
Marks & Spencer still operates two other stores on Princes Street and will open its first Scottish Simply Food outlet at Ocean Terminal later this year.
- Zara stablemate Massimo Dutti will open its third store - a 650 sq m outlet - in Manchester's Shambles development by the year-end.
