Boris, Bertram and Belinda. No, it’s not Britain’s next Eurovision hopeful but possible names for Asda’s new baby beans.

The grocer has challenged shoppers to name its runner bean and green bean cross which has been grown near the Thames Estuary, about 10 miles from the new Olympic Stadium – the perfect location for a bean with runners in the family some would argue.

The cockney bean will be named by Facebook and Twitter users by the time it hits stores in July.
