Asos continued to see good growth over Christmas with sales ahead 30% year on year in the five weeks to January 3.
Gross margin for the period also stayed ahead, up 80bps for the fashion and beauty etailer.
In the 42 weeks to January 17 it said sales were up 38%, with its UK sales growing 25% year on year and its burgeoning international business up 102%.
Asos chief executive Nick Robertson said: “I am pleased to report another excellent Christmas for ASOS. Sales and margin were both strong and we exited the Christmas period with a clean stock position. We continue to trade in line with the board’s expectation and remain confident for the outcome for the full year.”
On January 17 Asos had 1.5m active customers, 25% more than the same time last year.
