Luxury brand Chanel is to open its first dedicated fragrance and beauty store in Covent Garden this summer, ahead of the Olympic Games.
The pop-up store, which will be located in the central Market Building, will remain open for six months.
Chanel will trade from a 1,437 sq ft space which extends over two floors. The new shop will sell the brand’s full fragrance and beauty range and will also include makeover stations and a manicure salon on the lower floor.
Covent Garden London brand director Beverley Churchill said: “Introducing premium beauty brands into the Market Building has always been a part of our retail strategy for Covent Garden. To open this fragrance and beauty concept store is a great coup for the estate and further proof point of how the area has changed.”
Part of Capital & Counties Properties (Capco), Covent Garden London has been operating a strategy to bring more premium brands into the Covent Garden Plaza and surrounding streets as it attempts to create an upscale retail village in one of the capital’s most popular tourist destinations.
