DP Furniture Express to cut costs with Liverpool distribution centre

DP Furniture Express is striving to build 'one of the cheapest supply chains in Britain', with the launch of a distribution centre based at Liverpool Docks.

The unit will handle product arriving from Brazil, Malaysia, China, Taiwan and India from next month. DP Furniture Express says the centre will give it a big competitive advantage and improve its overall value proposition.

DP Furniture Express, formerly Durham Pine, has 41 company-owned and 39 franchise outlets, with an ambition to reach a target of 100 shops. It is in negotiations with a further 30 prospective franchisees at the moment.
