Dreams has embarked on an expansion plan to open 40 shops over the next two years.
The bed specialist has opened five shops in the past few weeks, and will open a further six by the end of the year. It has 10 openings planned for next year and the remainder will open in 2011.
Yorkshire will be a key target for openings because Dreams has opened a home delivery depot in Castleford. Dreams said it will target major cities and towns in the county including Leeds, Sheffield, Halifax and Doncaster. The retailer will create 500 jobs with the expansion.
Dreams chief operating officer Greg Suthern declined to reveal exact recent trading figures, but said the business is performing well. He said: “Next year is a huge opportunity for us.”
