Bed shop Dreams has chosen Microsoft's Navision software to update its finance and distribution system.
Recent growth has put a strain on Dreams' existing system. The chain now has 100 stores and is looking to open another 100 within the next three years.
Dreams IT director Brian Horsfield said: 'We had a shortlist of Navision versus the rest. We need to be able to act dynamically, and the flexibility of this application allows us to do that.' Reseller Alpha Landsteinar oversaw the project.
Explaining why Dreams chose to work with Alpha, Horsfield said: 'Alpha understood our business well and has a good pedigree in retail.'
Horsfield added that the software would enable 'onward integration' as Dreams becomes an increasingly multi-channel retailer.
Alpha has installed Navision distribution and financial modules at Dreams' head office at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. It will then be rolled out to 150 tills in 100 stores. Horsfield said Dreams was keen to look at other Navision modules, such as HR and payroll.
