DSGi has hired a consulting team to carry out a strategic review of its operations.

The decision to bring in Boston Consulting has added fuel to growing speculation that the retailer may resort to a big store closure programme.
New chief executive John Browett, who took the reins at the company in December, wants Boston Consulting to collate data and look into both DSGi’s domestic and international operations before structuring a plan to help revive the group in Europe.
