Footwear retailer Dune Group aims to generate 20% of its total sales from its overseas business over the next five years as it grows its international stores from 20 to between 120 to 150.
The retailer, which operates the Dune chain as well as brands including Bertie, said its overseas business accounts for 5% of sales. It wants to break into more markets including the US, Australia and Malta, and to expand in existing markets. The international expansion is spearheaded by Dune International managing director Andrew Horton.
Separately, the retailer has appointed Rob Bostock, former head of home shopping at White Stuff, as group head of ecommerce.
