Amazon is rolling out Prime Wardrobe, which will allow its US customers to order fashion items for free and only pay for what they decide to keep.
Prime Wardrobe enables customers to order three or more clothing items from across men, women and childrenswear categories for free home delivery.
Customers are given seven days to decide which products they would like to keep and can schedule a free pick-up on any that they’d like to return.
Amazon is incentivising sales through the scheme by offering Prime customers a 10% discount if they keep three or four items, and 20% off if they purchase five products or more.
Prime Wardrobe will be available to shoppers on the subscription scheme at no additional cost and will offer clothing items from a variety of brands including Calvin Klein and Adidas.
The online behemoth, which unveiled its $13.7bn acquisition of Whole Foods earlier this month, is in the beta stage of its latest addition to its membership scheme and has offered to notify interested shoppers when it launches.
New brands for Dash
Amazon has also added a slew of new brands to its Dash button programme in the UK including L’Oreal, Duracell and Heineken.
The initiative, which allows shoppers to top up on specific items with the click of a branded button, was rolled out in the UK in August last year.
Vice president of devices Jorrit Van der Meulen said: “Customers love the convenience of Dash buttons—feedback has been hugely positive, and we also heard loud and clear that customers wanted more brands and more products across more retail categories.
“We’re excited to add even more top-name brands for customers, extending the programme to cover dozens of retail categories.”
