Collapsed fashion retailer Bank has revealed the 20 stores that will cease trading within the next three weeks.
The first phase of store closures will see 10 stores cease trading on February 22 and a further 10 stores will close on March 1.
The stores closing in February are: Bury, Cardiff, Carlisle, Chester, Doncaster, Edinburgh, Livingston, Stockport, Warrington and Wolverhampton.
The 10 that will close in March are: Leamington Spa, Dundee, Bristol Cabot Circus, Wrexham, Middlesbrough, Romford, Inverness (out of town), Macclesfield, Stevenage Pop Up and Llanelli (out of town).
Bank has 84 stores in total across the UK and was the first casualty of 2015 when it fell into administration in January. Administrator Deloitte originally said all 84 stores would stay open as it received expressions of interest from “several” parties.
Deloitte told Retail Week that it is still talking to potential buyers of the chain, which employs 1,555 staff, but warned that all jobs are at risk of redundancy. It also said it is looking into whether employees from the 20 stores that will close can be redeployed in the remaining Bank branches.
JD Sports Fashion sold Bank to Hilco in November and said it would focus on investing in its sports fascias instead.
