Menswear retailer Suit Direct has secured a store at Westfield Stratford City for its newest flagship, Retail Week can reveal.
Property group Savills told Retail Week that the new 1,731 sq ft store will “be the blueprint” for future shopfit designs for the menswear retailer.
Savills, which acted on behalf of parent company Baird Group, advised on a five-year lease for Suit Direct as part of the deal.
Suit Direct customers can expect to find a range of its new spring/summer collections in the Stratford-based store in a “flexible shopfit” format.
The new flagship is now open to customers and Suit Direct said the opening marks a “milestone” in its ongoing expansion strategy as it looks to open up to 10 stores this year.
Suit Direct retail director Amanda Argent said: “We have created zoned areas in the store to allow the customer to shop for all occasions with strategic merchandising and 360 mannequin displays.
“This space is all about encouraging dwell time for the customer to give them the best in-store experience.
“In addition, the store will showcase the new SS24 product ranges, which include our new lifestyle ranges, including versatile pieces that seamlessly transition from work to weekend, from tailored blazers pared back with the workwear chino to smart-casual separates, knits, T-shirts, polos and linen shirts, which take the brand in an exciting new direction.”
Savills director of national retail Michael Lockhart said: “We are delighted to have advised our client on the acquisition of their new flagship store in London.
“Westfield Stratford is one of the leading shopping centres in Europe, and acquiring a new store in this location is a huge advancement towards the company’s ambitious and exciting plans for the future.”
