Superdry boss Julian Dunkerton is rebuilding elements of his top team after its chief technology officer left the business and the search for new board members is underway, Retail Week can reveal.
Chief technology officer Matt Horwood quit his role earlier this year after almost two-and-a-half years amid a string of other senior departures at the business including chief financial officer Shaun Wills and chief commercial officer Craig McGregor.
Retail Week also understands the recruitment process for a new chair and two independent non-executive directors at Superdry has begun.
Dunkerton is currently interim chair until a replacement has been found. Chief operating officer Shaun Packe and interim chief financial officer Giles David have also joined the board as executive directors.
This comes as the board of non-executive directors, including chair Peter Sjölander alongside Helen Weir, Alastair Miller, Georgina Harvey and Lysa Hardy, have departed after Superdry’s delisting from the London Stock Exchange last week.
The delisting followed the approval of Superdry’s restructuring plan by shareholders last month, which included an equity raise underwritten by Dunkerton and taking the business private.
Superdry delisted on July 15 and shares of the fashion brand have since been admitted to trade on share dealing platform JP Jenkins.
Superdry did not provide a comment.
