Australian lingerie retailer Honey Birdette is planning to open 50 stores across the UK by the end of next year.
The lingerie and sex toy retailer plans to open seven new stores this year including outlets at Westfield Stratford, Newcastle and Liverpool, according to Drapers
The retailer opened its first UK store in Covent Garden in London last year and currently operates three UK stores, with outlets in Westfield London and Leeds.
Honey Birdette, which has 55 stores in Australia, is also eyeing US expansion and launched a localised site last month after reporting a 374% hike in online sales in the country over the last year.
Founder Eloise Monaghan said: “The new ecommerce platform aims to enhance the consumers’ experience with the brand set to roll out stores in the US in the near future.”
The retailer’s stores are typically sized between 430-540 sq ft and sell premium range products, with prices starting at £30 for a pair of briefs and £60 for a bra.
